You Need Permission To Perform This Action

    Well its my computer, who do I get permission from?

    Have Avast Anti-Virus that has an error UNSECURED FIX NOW
    Tried the FIX NOW, nothing
    Tried to dowload and install the new 2012 version Error reading product data from C:.....
    Tried to Uninstall the program same Error reading product data from C:.....
    Tried to delete the entire folder Error You Need Permission To Perform This Action
    Tried System Restore, not sure why 9 times out of 10 and this time, Failed to Restore.

    I am close to FORMAT C:

    Seems the best way to deal with Microsoft any more

    Any ideas?

    Is this a User Account Control issue?

    Have you turned User Account Control off or is it still on?

    I do not know, its a Microsoft Issue!

    I took ownership of the folder and still can not delete it
    System Restore is a joke never works,
    went to 8 different points nothing.

    Just so you know, System Restore does just that -- it restores the Window OS files, not your data files or settings. I quit using it years ago when I discovered that it did not actually restore the "PC".
