The keys are version specific; you just can't replace one kind of key with another.

You would have to completely remove the version you don't want, and then install the version you do want.

Try downloading a keygen, that enables you to generate a random product key for your O/S. Hope that helped...

That goes against forum policy, goes against Microsoft license agreement, and nine times out of ten the key generators are virus infested. I will advise not recommending a key generator.

Product key generators are tantamount to PIRACY -- and that is forbidden here.

Don't provide this kind of advice again -- or you'll be removed and banned.

I have bought Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (french 32-bit edition). It came sealed with the Certificate of Authenticity and all. Unfortunately, while I was cleaning my MacBook Pro (i7 2.7ghz duo core Intel) I had to remove the official sticker. To make a long story short, I no longer have the sticker. Luckily I backed up the product key. When I called kind Microsoft, they still allows me to activate my purchase product.

Thank you to all the people!
