Can I safely turn Autostart off in Windows Defender if I have Nortons antiVirus software? I am researching methods to speed up my computer.

Using Norton anything is not a way to speed up your computer. I got rid of Norton everything years ago due to its enormous drain on system resources.

But, yet, if you're running a complete AV/Malware suite, then you don't need Windows Defender. But, I'm confused because when I loaded Norton AV on my Vista system, it automatically disabled Windows Defender.
