    Hi,

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium. Recently, whenever I click on Shut Down to switch off my laptop, it doesn't switch it off at all, instead, it restarts my laptop. Everytime I click on Shut Down, it will restart my laptop instead of switching it off.

This is a Vista problem? Anyone know how to solve this problem?

I am using a Compaq Presario V3708TU laptop, with Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz) Processor. My laptop is running Windows Vista Home Premium.

Check the power settings, and go the advanced section where you can tell it what exactly happens when which buttons are pressed.
