As in my other topic, I had a long boot up from the welcome screen and a black screen long thereafter before finally going to the desktop.

I sent my laptop back to Fujitsu for the second time and just got it back.

They reloaded my Vista and told me the problem was:

'found trojan house tibs-afx, adloder -acc HDD'

What does this mean? And what can I do to prevent this again?

Get a good antivirus proggy such as Avast which I continue to recommend time and time again b/c it provides for the option to run a boot time scan which is absolutley essential to rid yourself of the type of trojan you are infected with.

The long and short of it is no anti V. proggy that only does a scan from within Windows can eliminate this type of trojan period.

Download Avast use it and i can almost promise you will be trouble free. Don't believe the hype about AVG it still has compat. issues w/Vista and isutterly useless for providing protection/removal of many rootkit trojans and the like which is almost certainly what is affecting your system.
