    Hello there!

I had to format my XP drive & perform a reinstall. The new XP changed the boot sector and now I can't see the boot loader. What I'd like to know is how to fix the boot sector )so I can dual boot again) without having to reinstall Vista?

It took some time to install Vista and I've gone a ways tweaking it to my liking and really don't want to reinstall again.

    Thanks!

Been there, done that. Im not sure w/ the newer builds of Vista like Beta 2, but w/ 5308 my only choice to get that boot loader back was to reinstall vista. I know Beta 2 has some kind of recovery tools now on the cd, which 5308. There may be a recovery console where you can write a new boot loader/sector but I doubt it. Worth a try tho. Boot off the dvd and see if it has anything to help.

Well, if your not a member of MS beta, then you'll need to get them off torrent sites.
