I'm having a really odd networking problem with Vista Business. I'm directly connected into my router via cat5, and when I start up my computer Vista can't detect my network. If I put the computer into sleep mode, and then wake it up, it finds the network immediately. Any ideas?

i have the same problem. running vista business 64 on an asrock lan integrated ULi mobo. my network, however, has a router splitting the internet between my vista machine, and my two other xp boxes, and a wireless network. nevertheless, with vista, the internet will never come up, but if the computer sleeps, and awakes, it will be there instantly.

this works if the computer goes to sleep mode by itself (one hour for me), or if i manually put it into sleep, and then awaken it.

    very odd indeed. any comments?
