Vista not starting up with Vista installation disk also

    Hi,

    My laptop tries to startup and then freezes after the microsoft text and loading bar. I tried starting up using my Vista installation disk and it also freezes at the same point.

    I have tried starting up in Safe Mode but that also freezes up.

    I then tried inserting an XP installation disc and it gets to the point when it displays the message "windows is starting up" and then I get the blue screen of death !!

    Does this mean I have a hardware fault? Someone please help.
