HI, I've read so much about this problem but the solutions offered (Lower& Upper Filters, iTunes, uninstall/reinstall drive etc etc) without any success...I was hoping someone out there may have a bright idea or 2 I could try, thanks! I cannot believe that the bright sparks at Microsoft havent sorted this issue out, it seems to be quite an issue...hey Microsoft, wakey wakey!!

Could be a couple of different problems: autoload isn't turned on by default, or your machine does not know it has a CD/DVD drive attached.

Look into Device Manager and confirm whether or not a CD/DVD device is listed, first.

If that's there, insert a CD or DVD, and then open Windows Explorer to see if you can read the contents and open any of the files.

Report back what you find out.
