    Hey,

I have a Emachines Windows Vista Home Basic OEMAct.
I was trying to install a windows 2000 operating system onto a flash drive, but canceled the process, and it appears that the operating system CD has corrupted my hard drives bootmgr or MBR.

When i start the machine, it goes through normal BIOS processes, but stops and says that Windows 2000 could not start becuase of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. It also says that it could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware.

I unfortunately don't have system recovery CD's, but i do have another Vista computer (unsure which version number).

I have dissected the computer and have been trying many things including using other hard drives. If anyone can help, that would be awesome.
