    This is the Story:
    I got my lappie from my brother. Within the lappie is Vista 32 SP1 original installed. I know nothing about Vista's Ownership ... and treat Vista as XP by changing the User's name, from previous exist AAA to my name, CCC, directly. And after that I used that lappie.

    UNtil one day, about a year ago, when I wished to install a s/w (Sorry! I forgot the name). Immediately, Vista warns me for NOT installed the s/w. So, I click cancel. After that, I unable to rename all folder.
    * I able to rename all file ... but not a folder.
    * Everytime I delete a folder, I unable to restore it back.

    After do a google, I was recommended to showed the hidden administrator's account. After it was activated, I able to rename a folder ONLY IF I login with administrator.
    And when I opened Windows Explorer, inside User's folder, I saw:
    * Administrator
    * Administrator.CCC
    * BBB
    * xxx (Forgot the Name)

    Strange ? I remember I'd change BBB's account. How can it still exist ??? And the most strange is all my setting was applied under BBB folder.

    Do the problem caused a trouble? No! Until today, my lappie's still works well.
    * I just wanna know how can this happen ?
    * If I directly delete Administrator.CCC, what will happen ?
    Please guide me how to change the User's name in a right way
    Thank you

    You are raising two separate and unrelated issues here ..

    First google search ..

    http://www.google.com/search?q=unable+to+rename+folder

    A fix is suggested here ..

    http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/unable-to-rename-or-move-folders-in-windows-vista/

    registry fix ..

    http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/folder_desc.zip

    ...

    Then as a separate issue (unrelated to above) with Admin rights go to Control Panel > User Accounts

    Use the facility to change use account name .. or perhaps create a new user account for yourself.

    Provided that you now have sole ownership of the laptop ...

    I would go into user accounts (with admin rights)

    create a new account for yourself with admin rights

    as a backup create a guest account to allow access through a second account

    in User Accounts (but not in Windows Explorer!) delete unwanted accounts such as Administrator.ccc (but make sure that no other user has created this). It might be safer to backup its contents for a period while you test after rebooting.

    Do not in general use Windows Explorer to hack your user accounts. There is no need for this. Use the Control Panel.

    Starting with Vista, MS changed the account structure.

    As I understand it, the actual Administrator account is now a "hidden" account that can only be actived manually through intervention on your part. Previously, we were all Administrators by default.

    When you login to Vista (or Win7) even though it shows you as part of the Administrators group, you are NOT the actual Administrator; instead, you are a general use with some elevated rights.

    If you remove the actual Administrator account, I believe that you may have permissions and rights problems in the future, as you will not longer be able to login as the Adminstrator.

    Thank you for your advice ...
    In order to minimize the RISK, I will leave that setting ...
    THANK YOU.
