    Hello,

i am running windows vista home premium upgrade version

it has been running fine for about a week

    it is legal and activated...

what happened is that once when i restarted the PC my one and only user account vanished... literally...

i can still see traces of him around, but nowhere in user account lists or anything... :O

Microsoft Support is crunching my case, hoping they will fix, but i want community response for this :)

p.s. i noticed that the "Administrator" username (only accessible via safemode) has NO PASSWORD, just like on xp home :p

There are ways in the registry to hide the account from the logon screen... When you go into your "C:\Users\" directory do you see the missing account?
