Trying to install vista

    So today i got a burned copt of Vista from my friend and i usually don't have any problems booting up disks but when i try to boot from the dvd i get an error message saying that BOOTMGR is missing...though my friend didn't have any problem with the disk...any idea?

    fyi - you probably don't want to advertise software piracy, dude - people tend to frown on that.

    if your bootmgr is jacked, boot an xp disc and go into therecovery console. follow the onscreen instruction for command lists and whatnot (fixmbr) is what you're looking for.

    **make sure you backup your important data first!
