    hi all,
I am testing my application in Vista mach, but iam facing some problems: when the application starts, it gathers

the timezone information of the client mach. It was working fine in other OS like NT,XP, but had problem with VISTA.

What's exactly happening is, my code is trying to get the exact time zone.
If the time zone returned is the numeric added to GMT it tries to get the exact Time zone code. i.e.,

For eg: if the timezone extracted is GMT-5.00 ,then the o/p is "eastern standard time (EST)."

But in Vista mach, what ever the timezone is set, I am getting only the GMT and the offset or numeric added to it.

I think there is need to change the Vista sys setting.
Please help me out in my problem. If u have any clarifications, u can reply to this msg.
