I am running Vista home SP2 X64 on a Dell Studio 1555. Something happened about to weeks ago that has me totally confused.
In the normal Desktop viewing area where all your files and folder area is a blank blue screen area. All files are now in the taskbar area-not shortcuts. I have tried everything. System restore is not working so I can not go back in time.
    Any ideas?????

No clue, guy. What you describe suggests to me something has gone awry in your setup -- you've got some files corrupted which screw things up when your start the system. Get you installation disk, if you kept it, and start from the CD and tell it you want to repair your installation.

Let us know if that works or doesn't ...
