System Restore points created but disappear shortly thereafter

    Got taken in by the hype and installed RC1-5600. Regretted it at first but after 3 days it seems that the system stabilized and I learned to make peace with it.

    My difficulty is that I used an external system restore app in XP-SP2, configured to create a restore point every 24 hours. This does not work in Vista 5600-RC1. I am forced to use theVISTA supplied System Restore. I can create the points but these mysteriously disappear within 24 hours. Is it the lack of allloted space? I have plenty so where can I allocate more if that's the issue? If not, is there a solution or work around?
