    Hello,

I am running Windows Vista on my laptop. My sound volume icon has disappeared from my row of icons at the bottom right of my screen. The icon is not among the hidden icons. I guess that I must have clicked something by mistake and the icon disappeared. Is there any way to get it back?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

In order to get the sound icon in the task bar follow these steps:
Right click on the empty space in the task bar - Click Properties.
Under "Notification area" click on Customize.
In new windows look for Volume and from the drop down, select: Show Icon and Notification.
Then click on Ok and click on Apply.
If that does not fix the issue, run the fixit from the following Microsoft KB article:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/945011

    All the best.
    Regards,
    Edwin.
