Whenever i try and open an internet shortcut on my desktop(or any other folder), it comes up with an error message saying "Application not found." If i create an internet shortcut, (lets say http://google.com/) the wizard will tell me in the next screen that it is an internet shortcut. When it creates it on the desktop though...the icon is not an internet shortcut, it is the icon for something with no application.

This happens in every folder/location on my computer EXCEPT for the internet shorcuts folder. However, when i copy and paste those to the desktop, the same thing occurs. Suggestions??

    Thank you!

Type 'Default Programs' in the start menu and press enter.

Make IE (or other internet application) default for http and other web related stuff in 'Set your default programs' and 'Associate a file type or protocol with a program'
