    Hi,

    Sfc.exe stops at 99% and
reports: "Verification 99% complete. Windows Resource Protection found
corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them."

How to fix this issue ?

If you're running this from inside Vista using a command window, that has a history of NOT being able to fix problems. Try booting into Safe Mode, command mode, and running "sfc /scannow" from there. That tends to have better success.

Not good news! IF you have a bootable Vista CD/DVD, you could try booting into command mode with that and running sfc from there. That tends to have the best results.

Otherwise, you're looking at using a Restore Point to get back to a working system.

I have a Vista Recovery CD but I can't boot with it. I get a black screen after windows loading files.

Unfortunately, I don't have any Restore point.

Are you trying to reinstall? Asking because that's typically what a "recovery" CD will do -- attempt to reinstall Vista from scratch.
