RS232 port settings with Windows Vista 32

    Dear All,
    Kindly asking about how to find the settings of the RS232 port of my HP 6710b laptop.. I am planning to make an interface through this port and i have to know the settings like: address, baud rate, etc.
    So, please, help me with this issue, and attached is a picture of the device manager...

    Interfacing the Serial / RS232 Port

    Serial Ports (RS232) are configured in the System BIOS. What you are asking for does not change from one windows version to another. Check in the System BIOS to make sure you have the serial port enabled and which Address/IRQ its using.
