Suddenly right clicking does not work on any photos in my files on my PC.
    The menu does not appear.
You just get the hourglass cursor and at the top left of the page it says (Not Responding).
The right click does work on say pictures on Facebook though.
The right click menu is not excessively long and always worked before (last week) on photos in my files.
Now it will not work on any photos in my files.
I have already searched the net for a solution but with no success.
I switched off all extensions and it made no difference.
Also, when you left click on a photo and try to open "Organize" in the toolbar at the top LH part of the page you get the same frozen response.
The only way out of both these situations is to right click on the folder at the bottom of the page and click "Close" which 'whites out' the entire page and brings up the Microsoft Windows little window asking you to click on the "End Process" button. When you do that the whole Desktop page disappears and then regenerates.
    Back to square one!
    Can anyone please help?
    Thanks,
    Phil.

    Hello Phil,

May i know which application are you using to open the photos?
    Additionally, try these steps:
1: Press the Windows Key + R on the keyboard.
2: In the Run box type: %temp% and click ok.
3: Delete all items from the folder and close the window.
4: Press the Windows Key + R on the keyboard.
5: In the Run box type: temp and click ok.
6: Delete all items from the folder and close the window.
7: Press the Windows Key + R on the keyboard.
8: In the Run box type: prefetch and click ok.
9: Delete all items from the folder and close the window.
10: Press the Windows Key + R on the keyboard.
11: In the Run box type: cleanmgr and click ok. This would bring up the disk clean up utility. Select the C: drive and click ok.
12: Once the calculation is complete, check all the boxes and click ok at the bottom left.
Restart the computer and try right clickin on the photos.
If this does not help, run a full virus scan on the HDD and check.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Edwin

Try setting your default programs correctly: it could be issue relating to what you are using to open images.
If that does not work, perform actions stated by Edwin009.

Thanks guys - I shut down the computer and restarted it and all was well. The right click menu was working again.
I have never had that problem before in the 6 years I have had this PC.
