When I hit the "new game" button on the main menu of republic commando it loads up "The Beginning" and when it finishes, a box shows up and it says "game has shut down, windows is trying to find the solution", some help please? :ermm:

    Dude,

I hope you still check this forum, couldnt answer before lost my access
to the site, anyways for SW Republic Commando crashing all the time,
well anyways as soon as you start the level.

I had the same problem, cos recently ive built new rig and installed
all my games again, the trick is in the game options turn down bump
mapping to low and game will work fine.

Hope this help, please let us know how you get on. Thanks

right ive tried many things but one thing worked... steam
if you have counter strike or any other game by valve one your computer
you should know what steam is if not go to steampowered.com or .org im
    not sure
but after installing look in my games tab and hit the add non steam
game some thing like play republic cammando should should be in the list
that pops up if not take the game files and place them in your hard
    drive if you haven't
once steam starts the game up it should end up looking all glitchy but
dont worry a you have died screen should come up and hit end mission it
will take you to the menu
that only errors ive gotten were some animation errors in the multi
player menu where you desine your charecter for multi player
