Hi, What is the best free registry software that compatible with windows vista?
Hi sharirazwan - Welcome to vistaforums Try CCleaner Its free and recommended for use by allot of people
Thanks oznola sourceforge.net has some great freeware, this one is new to me though. I think I will check it out sometime.
Advanced PC Tweaker is a professionally designed registry cleaner for fixing various PC errors and system optimization. It is able to create a Dll file list of your computer and correspond them to the Windows registry to memorize the location and functionality of each Dll file. If there is a registry entry that points to the wrong Dll file or if the DLL file is in the wrong place, Advanced PC Tweaker would help reconnect the file to its related entry back again so the system and all the programs that share with this Dll file will function properly without any errors.
Is it right to do Registry Cleaner? I used CCleaner ... but never do Registry Cleaner Please advice .... Thank you
ANY registry clean poses SOME risk, so it's not likely that you're going to get any guarantee with using any of them. IMHO, all this registry cleaning stuff is at best, a waste of time, and at worst, a way to inflict major damage on your PC. The registry is a collection of files (known a "hives") that function very much like a database. So, removing registry entries is NOT going to speed up your PC in any measureable way. The best course of action is to leave well enough alone.
It is probably the best course of action, but when you (or some program you've installed) messed up the registry, then you have to do something about it - i'm not right? Of course, deleting the registry entry is not the brightest idea, but an average user doesn't know that. So what kind of action should be done? And is there possibly a way to revert registry to it's default setitngs?
Thank you for the tips. I personally have been using CCleaner and Cleanup but I may try the little Reg Cleaner to see how it does. : ) A smile from Mokitag
