since usb 3.0 came out after vista, did microsoft ever update vista to where readyboost will work with a usb 3.0 drive,?
and if they did, does ready boost noticeably preform better with usb 3.0 over 2.0,or was ready boost never updated to take advantage of the improvements with usb 3.0

My best guess would be NO -- on all fronts. ReadyBoost was an interim solution at best -- and NOT a good one. All it really did was aid in caching, and even then, it only improved performance on PCs with very little memory.

USB 3.0 is recent and only the latest motherboards have that incorporated -- and ALL of them come equipped to use DDR3 memory. What that available, you would find that Readyboost would be simply a waste of time.
