When I try to watch live tv on media center, I get error, video decoder failed or is not installed. Restart media center or computer. Both didn't help. Audio decoder and video decoder both show as installed in registry.

I could be wrong, but i have received this same error in XP Media Center due to not having the correct codec installed. I needed to download a third party MPEG 2 codec for Media Center to open either TV or DVD files.

    Hope this helps.

PS I have Vista RC2 installed and ATi doesn't have Vista WDM drivers for my All-In-Wonder 9600 card. Without them I get a tuner missing error (which I've also seen in Media Center Edition).

I too had the same problem with the decoder error. It turned out to be an expired codec. If you set your system date back to august, it should work again.
