When I search for a file in Vista the search results also show files that I have previously deleted (and emptied from recycle bin). This is really annoying when you have hundreds of audio samples and files, some current and some you have deleted, which have very similar names. Has anyone else had this problem? How do I make it go away? There must be some kind of settings/preferences section where I can tell vista not to do this, right? But I can't find it. Any help on this would be awesome...

This is because Vista is using an index to perform the search. What you need to do is update the index.

    Do that as follows:

    1) Control Panel -> Indexing Options -> Advanced -> Index Settings tab

    2) Click Rebuild under Troubleshooting

This should remove the index entries for the deleted files.
