I am running Office XP Professional (2002) in Windows Vista. No matter how many times I check the "remember password" box in Outlook, it refuses to save passwords for my account.

I found a fix for Windows XP, in whcih one goes into the registry editor, into Protected Storage System Provider, and deletes a user subkey folder (that has a long numeric name, S-1-5-21.... etc.). However, when I try to do this in Windows Vista, it will not give me permission to delete the folder.

Does anyone have any suggestions (before I send the PC back to Dell and buy a Mac)?

    Thank you!!

Now why would you want to send the computer back to Dell and get a mac with just this one problem. I would suggest upgrading your office suite. Get 2007. Works great!
