Odd noise everytime I open/close a window, help?

    I don't know exactly what was happening at the time, as I wasn't near the machine, but now, after my dad looking on Firefox for free movies online, there is an odd noise, a da daaaa!, or similar everytime I open or close a window or application, or sometimes just randomly.



    I am running antivirus but I can't work it out. Does anyone have any ideas as nothing has been dowloaded or installed as I can see.





    EDIT: Worked out that it was Windows Tada sound for opening applications or something. Still can't work out how it was running like it was, or randomly. It never used to play either.. Hmm...

    Glad you got it fixed.



    Make sure you run a spyware scan, too. Malwarebytes is great for that (http://www.malwarebytes.org). Also, what anti-virus are you using? Make sure it's up to date. Some are pretty worthless as far as stopping newer viruses (or is that virai?:)).
