Ok, unfortunately I think the only solution that works would have to be tuning your card settings down to Performance rather than Quality

But that's not even a solution, really. I didn't pay extra just to turn my settings way down.

    Any more ideas?

EDIT: I have just found out that tuning your card down doesn't even work.. what else is there?!

I had the same BSOD and tried a few different approaches. Changed my XFX 9600GT but still the problem persisted. Then I changed over my RAM ( Had x2, 2 gig sticks of Corsair ram and wouldnt you know it, the problem didnt happen again. Worked for me anyway.

    nvlddmkm.sys - blue screen - 100% solved

    *** Solved 100% ***

hi guys.. i'm using the same nVidia 8600M GS and had the same issue.
    i'm using windows 7 x64.

here are the steps to resolve this issue.
    1. download the latest version of drivers from nvidia.com
    2. DO NOT INSTALL STRAIGHT AWAY.
    3. restart your computer in safe mode.
    4. install the driver.
    5. after completing the installation, restart the computer in SAFE MODE again and log in.
    6. now restart your computer in normal mode. DONE..

    cheers!
