No Signal from Vista to Vizio

    I have tried all damn day to get my Compaq laptop with Vista Home Edition to use my Vizio HDTV as a monitor or projector to play my Hulu.

    1. Yes I have the VGA to HDMI cable plugged in
    2. Yes, Vista sees the E370L(Vizio TV)
    3. Yes, I turned on the presentation settings to ON
    4. Yes, I restarted my laptop
    5. Yes, I did check my Nvidia settings to supporting settings

    I still see on my Vizio a big black screen and "No Signal".

    What did I miss?

    ...and YES I did set my TV to HDMI 1!
