New mouse stops computer from entering sleep mode naturally...?

    I recently upgraded the orginal mouse that came with my PC to a Microsoft Wireless Mouse. This is stopping my pc from entering sleep mode naturally from inactivity.

    When I use the orginal mouse everything works fine. When I plug in the new mouse, it will not even go to screen saver.

    Any ideas?
