This began behaving strangely a few days ago. It no long shows when I'm connected to a wireless network. It continuously displays the red "x" icon, even though I know I'm connected and can browse websites. It also displays an error message when I mouse over it:

"Connection status unknown - Server execution failed"

Anyone know what's going on here? This is a problem when trying to find local wireless networks and view their status.

Tried updating your wireless card drivers? From the manufacturer?
