Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm new to the whole beta thing. Each new build that comes out, do I have to completely reinstall Vista, or do they come out as updates?

Also, I'm currently on Vista Beta 2, build 5384, is there anywhere I can get some of the newer builds?

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Hi, When new builds come out you do not have to do a fresh install, you just upgrade and it keeps all your files/programs. If you have beta 2, and are not a beta tester then there isnt a way to get the new builds unless you do it on torrent or warez

Okay, that's what I thought about getting the new builds. I'll be sticking to beta 2, I'm not big on Warez at all, and I don't trust Warez for something as important as an operating system either ;)

    Thanks

I don't trust warez either. when I'm searching for cracks and stuff warez always have the things I want while the other sites have nothing. thats strange and I don't trust that. bittorrent is spyware and virus free

Yep, warez will load your pc up w/ virus's pretty good. Not to mention all the porn and popups you have to go through to download.

I've never really understood BitTorrent, I've downloaded files with it, but always as links from websites, I have no idea how to go about actually searching for files, i.e. the newest Vista builds, with it.

you download very small torrent files off the internet on sites such as torrentspy.com or mininova.org (you can google torrent sites) and you use a torrent client such as bitcomet (the most commonly used one) to open these small files and download what you want. when you are on the torrent sites you can search for games, software, movies anything. thers virtually no viruses, its much more effective than warez but it is much slower and sometimes it can slow down your computer when downloading a few torrent files at once but after you finish downloading them and reboot your computer, its back to normal :D
