Hey guys. My flatmate is also running Vista Home Premium, and is having a slight problem.

The problem doesnt happen with Firefox.

Basically, when he looks at a website which has a link to a video file, normally he will click on it, and say it has a .mpg extension, then Media player kicks in and plays the video. If he installs anything video related, say Nero Showtime or VLC, it keeps going to page cannot be displayed. I have reset the file types and made sure WMP is the default player etc, but its still not working. Once Nero / VLC is removed, all is fine.

    Any ideas?

What version of nero are you installing? Also in the meantime try right clicking and saving the video to the hard drive.
