how to Restore windows Mail from hardrive clone backup.

Hi every one,



I recently got a bad virus and had to back up my entire C Drive to a removable drive.

I then reset my vista laptop to factory settings. The virus made it so that I couldn't actually use windows so I did all that by hitting f8 during boot up and it gave me the option of backing every thing up.





Can any one please tell me what I have to copy and where from my back up drive to my new fresh intall of vista to get my windows mail back to what it was before the wipe?



I would love rules, folders, mails, every thing back to how it was. is that posible??

ok i have figured out how to restor all the messages by copying

the %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\ folder to my new computer.

does anyone know how to get this regestry key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail



of my backed up hard drive and put it into my new fresh computer?

this reg key contains nearly all the settings and rules for Windows Mail. so I really need it.



Any help would be much apreciated.
