HOW TO MAKE DUAL BOOT VISTA & MS DOS 6.0

    i don't see any manual so far indicate to make dual boot for vista and ms dos 6.0 (fat16 format)

    anybody knows how to do?

    Should be fairly similiar to how you do it in xp:



    # DOS must be installed on a primary partition (not a logical partition within an extended partition) on the same hard drive as the NTFS boot partition (what the BIOS sees as Drive 0).

    # The boot sector on the DOS (FAT16) partition must be copied into C:\BOOTSECT.DOS (i.e., into the root directory of the bootable NTFS partition).

    # A line must be added to C:\BOOT.INI to reference BOOTSECT.DOS



    But instead of editing boot.ini you can use bcdedit (search the forums to find out how to use) and point it to that specific BootSect.Dos on the specific drive you want. You can try doing it by adding the value straight from the boot.ini in vista, but not sure if that will work.
