    Windows Vista Desktop with Windows Sidebar and gadgets. </DIV><DIV class=sidebar>Gadgets that ship with Windows Sidebar are excellent examples of how gadgets should look and what types of features might be available in a gadget. In the February CTP version of Windows Vista, the following gadgets are included: </DIV><DIV class=sidebar></DIV><DIV class=sidebar><TABLE class=sidebar><TBODY><TR><TD class=gadgetImg>[​IMG]</TD><TD>The Feed Viewer gadget takes advantage of Internet Explorer 7's new RSS Platform. The gadget allows the user to pick feeds they have already configured using Internet Explorer 7 and displays items from those feeds.</TD></TR><TR><TD class=gadgetImg>[​IMG]</TD><TD>The Launcher gadget allows users to place shortcuts to applications and files on the gadget, simply by dragging the item to the gadget.</TD></TR><TR><TD class=gadgetImg>[​IMG]</TD><TD>The World Clock gadget displays the time and allows the user to configure a time zone. This makes it especially convenient to keep track of the time in multiple locations if more than one World Clock gadget is open.</TD></TR><TR><TD class=gadgetImg>[​IMG] <TD>The Recycle Bin gadget allows users to drag items to the gadget to move them to the Windows Recycle Bin. It also quickly displays information about the contents of the Recycle Bin and can even empty those contents.</TD></TR><TR><TD class=gadgetImg>[​IMG]</TD><TD>The Slide Show gadget cycles through photos in a folder that the user can select.
