Just received my new Vista computer last week and the hard drive is always working away. I've checked the processes and the only thing using CPU is DWM.exe which is a vista UI process. I never noticed this with my XP box. Is Vista doing something in the background (spyware detection) or something that would constantly be working the hard drive?

Okay. I've had it one week now and I leave it on 24/7. I would think that would be enough time to index the limited content I have but I will be more patient.
