I have a Visual Basic script within Excel thatopens an existing .txt file, revises it completely and finally saves it. The script worked well in XP, but it is notworking inVISTA. Apparently VISTA file protections (those endless windows that ask the user to verify everything) is preventing the the script from working. I have confirmed that the file is editable (not read only) and all permission boxes are checked for System, Admin and Users. Any ideas on how to correct this?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Have you attempted turning off UAC and seeing if it will run? You can also try disabling DEP as well. Search the tweaks section for info on disabling UAC.
