I have a Sony Vaio AW laptop running Windows Vista 64 bit. Great laptop with almost full Adobe 1998 colour space. I have recently connected an Eizo CX240 monitor to the laptop to use a separate superior display for photoediting and graphic design. I also calibrate and colour profile the Eizo. All seems to work well ,but ,I notice that when I go into the Colour Management Tool in the Control Panel on the laptop,it identifies the two monitors by the same name :- 'Generic PnP Monitor - NVIDIA GeForce 9600 M GT'. The GeForce is the graphics card in the Sony laptop. I would have thought the Colour Management Tool would have identified the two displays by different names hence enabling me to make sure I am allocating the calibrated ICC profile to the right monitor. Am I missing something? All help appreciated! Ian Moore
