Driver for webcam

I tried to use a webcam on my computer Vista 32 bits, after plugged in the camera a message told me that windows is searching for a drivers but after 1 hour it's still searching. Any idea?

 

You didn't describe that webcam, so no one here can determine if a Windows Vista software driver package is available for it.

A Logitech brand webcam is what I recommend, but I'm not sure if any models are still available that support Windows Vista SP2 32-bit.
You will need to do some on-line searching.

 

I went on Logitech site and the affordable webcam there is not compatible with Vista.

 

Depending on where you live and what's available, you may have difficulty finding a webcam that's compatible with Windows Vista.

 

That's what I realize, somebody told me to transfer to Windows 7 but this system doesn't receive updates anymore.
