does word come with vista?

    hi there,



    i am a mac user, but my girlfriend is wanting to purchase a new sony laptop, she wants to know if when you buy vista do you get microsoft office or does it need to be bought seperately.

    Needs to be boaught seperately i'm affraid. Just get a cheap student version though the full blown version of office comes with a load of programs you will never use. I assume all you want is word, excell etc.

    you might get a 60 day free trial... makes it easier to activate once you buy it

    I see, well I thought sony give you student/teacher edtition of office 07 butI maybe wrong, I dont use that edition because it doesnt come with outlook or access. If it did i would just use that (I use enterprise :D)
