desperate help

    i am desperate i have a dell inspiron 6400 i have vista installed on it and i got i the newfolder.exe virus and i restarted it to open it in safe mode and it wouldnt after i put the password (in normal and safe mode) it opens a black screen and the mouse an ideas how to fix i tried repairing it with vistas dvd PLS help:pinch:

    What AV software were you running that failed to detect the virus?



    You didn't say what happened when you tried to do the Vista repair. Some details would be useful.

    oh and im running eset nod32 antivirus although the virus is on my normal comp and i installed on AVG which removed it so i dont think its the virus:D

    When you get the back screen and the mouse pointer, if you move the mouse, does the pointer move correctly? Or does the pointer stay in the center of the screen?
