Could not access network location %APPDTAT%\

    Hi Friends,

    Can someone help me on this serious issue ??

    I'm getting this below ERROR whenever i try to install anything -

    Error Message :-
    Could not access network location %APPDTAT%\

    Example of some cases where i got this error:-
    1. While installing MS-Office 2003/2007
    2. While installing Java app

    Let me know if you need any more information.

    Don't know why you would install Office 2003 in Vista. There are problems with it running properly. Besides, Office 2007 replaces it. There is no value in having both -- and there will be conflicts if you try to install and use both.

    Don't see why you are installing Java apps. You simply install a Java environment. If you don't have such an environment in place, that could present problems when trying to install the apps.

    As to the location, are you sure it isn't "appdata"? This is where apps typically store settings and config files. It's a hidden directory system under your user name.

    Are you installing by right-clicking the setup file and selecting Run as Administrator? That is generally required to install apps in Vista.
