Corrupt Files

    Can anyone help with the issue of corrupt file message.



    \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM



    The suggested solution to repair is to start windows setup using the original Setup CD-ROM.

    Select R at the first screen to start repair. Unfortunately this does not work. The CD disconnects before completion. Any feedback or ideas on how I could resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    There is no such procedure for Vista; this procedure is for Windows XP.



    So, which are you running -- Vista or XP?
