color scheme has been changed to vista basic

    I am using windows vista Home Premium. Three days back I installed Quick time player. Now whenever I play a video in vlc player, color scheme changes to vista basic and i get a pop-up window saying " color scheme has been changed to vista basic ". Then I uninstalled Quick Time. But this thing still happens. Please help. Thanks in advance.

    Probably, what happened when you installed Quick Time is that it changed the associated file type to use Quick Time by default, and when you uninstalled it, it didn't change them back. So, what do you expect running Apple SW on an MS OS?



    So, right click on the files you want to view, select Open With, choose the program you want to use, and check the "always open with this program" box.
