Cant get vista to show correct hdd size.

    hi. im trying to install vista ultmate on my pc but i cant get it to show the correct hdd size.

    i have a 300gb and vista only showing 128gb.

    MB= gigabyte GA-k8n sli . 4gb ram , 2x nvidia 7800 gt's

    ive installed vista on the drive and tryed going into disk management but still nothing.

    ne1 have n e idea's

    That's a fairly old motherboard, and I'm guessing the BIOS is dated as well.



    What size does the BIOS say about the drive? If it's an "older" BIOS, it will have a 128 GB limit on detecting drive sizes. Vista won't show a size larger than what the BIOS reports.



    Where are you seeing the drive values in Vista?
