Blank screen... why? (ati radeon 9550)

I want to find out what´s wrong here and need some help.

When I installed Vista my ATI RADEON 9550 graphic card worked from the beginningwith included drivers.But all games I played freezed / gave bluescreen / rebooted within one minute so I installed the drivers from ATIs homepage instead.

Now I can play for about 30 minutes before the screen gets blank och all CPU-activity stops. Are these drivers this bador could my card be overheated?

It's likely an overheating problem, especially considering you're playing simulators, which require a lot of power.

 

I find opening your computer up, then taking a hoover to it does a world of good to temperatures, especially when your computer is positioned near the floor.
