    Hello.
My son’s computer needs to be reformatted. It has a genuine copy of vista on it. He did not create any backup disks.

Is it possible to reformat it?

Sorry if this sounds naive but I am not very tecki.

    Regards

    Stu

Hi Stu, welcome to the forums :)

You'll need a copy of Vista to re-install it after the format - however if you have a PC from a large company then there's a good chance you'll have a recovery partition on it (Dell, HP and so on). Do you have the model number / make and I'll see if I can find any info on this for you.

    Cheers,
    Ian
