Ok, I've been trying to change my start up button to something of my own liking. In the process of trying to replace it I screwed it up and I'm tired of trying to figure out how to freaking fix it. Please let me know where I can download the original file as it will help me fix this issue alot quicker...

I am using windows vista home premium 32 bit.

    Thanks.

The aero theme is built into Vista; it's not available for download separately from MS.

To replace missing system files, you have to open an elevated command prompt and enter "sfc /scannow". That will scan for and replace missing and/or corrupt system files.

Hey. I performed a system restore instead. It is working well; almost.

If I right click on the desktop a couple times it now says that explorer has to close. I do not have iexplorer open but it closes all the explorer windows including the bottom start window, the desktop gets cleared and then it reappears as normal. It keeps doing this; any solutions?

Oh and btw it won't let me right click on cmd, run, or other parts withing the start bar without repeating the same process...

We have a pinned post on troubleshooting Explorer crashes -- but like so many other things in Vista, this is not a simple problem to fix.
